Italy meets Ridgewood

It is our passion and desire to bring an authentic taste of Italy in a truly Italian dining experience to our home area of NJ, and to share it with the people we love. There are three simple offerings that we have set out to perfect...pizza, salumi, and espresso. Simple foods, which require passion to perfect. We have searched throughout the world, and locally, to source the best suppliers of ingredients. Our chef and pizzaiolo Francesco arrives from Bari, Italia and comes with an excitement to bring the taste of his homeland to NJ.

Pizze

Naturally leavened, pure, simple, and the freshest ingredients, balanced just right.  Great dough with great ingredients and combinations... that's our secret.

Salumi

Highest quality imported and traditional domestic cured meats, sourced from the best farms and artisans in the craft.  We are serious about our meat.

Espresso

Serving an array of Caffe Costadoro espresso based offerings.  We believe it is among the highest quality bean we can find.

CHEF / MASTER PIZZAIOLO

Francesco joins the team at S. Egidio after 20+ years of owning his own pizzeria and restaurant in the southern region of Puglia, Italia. He is trained in the Neapolitan tradition of pizza making, but his mastery of the Italian culinary tradition stretches far beyond the perfection of his highly sought after dough.  Under Franco's leadership in the kitchen, S. Egidio is introducing NJ to an authentic Italian culinary experience, bursting with fresh flavors and sweet aromas reminiscent of the many small  villages throughout the Italian countryside from which many of our ingredients are sourced.
